MARSHAL: Mrs. Malgorzata Stopka MISS POLONIA: Ms. Sabina Krol JUNIOR MISS POLONIAS: Maia Puzio & Victoria Zaremba
Mrs. Malgorzata Stopka Malgorzata Stopka, comes from Chocholow, a known historic village in the Podhale region of Poland. She emigrated to the United States of America in 1986 and settled in Chicago, Illinois. She then moved to Clifton, NJ where she currently lives with her husband, Józef, and her two children, Sebastian and Olivia. Malgorzata is employed with "LAN Associates", an architectural firm in Midland Park, NJ. Since her childhood, Malgorzata was passionate about her mountainous region and her Polish Highlander culture and traditions. In November 2011, Malgorzata was elected as the President of the Polish Highlanders Alliance in NJ and Vice President of Polish Highlanders Alliance of North America. She is devoted to the livelihood of Polish culture and dedicates a lot of time and energy to the Polish youth since they deserve to know and learn about their cultural identity. In her free time, Malgorzata likes to travel, listen to good music, sing, and volunteer. Malgorzata Stopka sincerely gives thanks to the Pulaski Parade Committee for their nomination and trust to represent the Diocesan Shrine of Saint John Paul II and Holy Rosary Parish as the 2017 Marshal.
Ms. Sabina Krol Sabina Krol, daughter of Marian and Alina. Since 1999, she lives in Garfield with her parents and siblings, where she finished Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. Currently, she studies at Montclair State University. Sabina attended and completed her Polish School Education at our parish. She also attended CCD religion classes and received the sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Confirmation at the Shrine of Saint John Paul II, Holy Rosary R. C. Church. She takes an active part in volunteering at the parish. Sabina is extremely honored and pleased to represent our parish contingent as Miss Polonia 2017.
